Yes. All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS and stored securely on AWS infrastructure in EU regions. Bank connections are handled by TrueLayer, an FCA-authorised Open Banking provider — SpendStreak never sees or stores your bank credentials. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

No. Bank connection via Open Banking is entirely optional. You can manually add expenses and still enjoy all the gamification features — streaks, XP, achievements, and levels work the same either way.

SpendStreak is a university dissertation project. All user data will be deleted at the conclusion of the project (expected by September 2026). You can also request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
